During the last election, we have heard a lot of promises, but as we all know commitment made during campaigns are often only persuasive manipulation aiming to attract the people to the poll so that they can vote for certain candidate, campaign toward a more energy efficient country country is one of those ideas.
A campaign for the popularization of electric bicycle can be a small but meaningful step toward a more energy efficient country. Canada has proved this year that they are very serious about energy efficient program as the government and other sectors of the population are embracing the emergency of this new trend of bicycle. Canada is following their European counterpart; the United Kingdom by promoting, encouraging and facilitating the use of electric bicycle on the streets.
We, in the US seem to be very slow at embracing this new technology, we rely too much on car for our daily chores even though it is not necessary to use them. I do not see any actions from the government at making people more aware of the economical and environmental advantages of electric bicycles, in this matter we are way behind the other countries.
Electric bicycles are now a days very good way to commute around town and visit all the little shops that you have never had the chance to visit when you were driving your car. All my employees ride their bike to work as a commitment to a doing our part in the conservation of the environment.

I think pushing for more bikes or even electric bikes will not be helpful if cities do not provide a bike path. Otherwise, riding my bike in some parts of DC would be highly dangerous whether it be a plain old bike or an electric bike. Bike paths is another way to show dedication to green initiatives.

The idea is too good for our environments. But most common problem for the electric cycle is no space on road for that. You can see this is china more and more people now turn out in bicycle for daily use. Now china country also help for that..
