“Buy durable goods. As much as possible buy items that will last instead of buying the same item several times in a decade. It will save on transport and manufacturing emissions.” -I love this, I can’t stand the whole buy it and toss it mentality people have these days. Clothes are no longer built to last years, but mere weeks.

“Pack your refrigerator more tightly to reduce cooled air.” -I never heard that before, but it’s a great idea.

“Use a reel (cylinder) lawnmower. This needs no power supply, and is also much quieter for you and your neighbors.” -It’s also a great way to exercise, these mowers can really burn calories.

I think this is an excellent guide for everyday changes that people can make to reduce their carbon footprint. I also like that your suggestions can be done by most people and don’t require a lot of money.
