Electricity Prices
Perhaps the blame for high electricity prices should be placed at the beginning of capitalism and economy!
Countries with solid brain power and capital saw the potential of giving power to their country would mean good profits and yes, it did.
Countries on the other hand that had no capital or brain power had to be content with fire and candles as many countries to this day who are still in need of this commodity.
Electricity generation in the old days depended on coal and later on water and even later nuclear power.
Countries having electricity supply for their country are now discovering that they in fact have far too little electricity to supply the demand. Factors such as a population explosion of the 50 s, 60 s and seventies, now all grown up men and women, need and want electricity! Growth and planning in the electricity industry lacked a vision and they cannot supply!
Out of the blue they need more electricity generating plants, mega watts but the money needed for new installations have gone up 1000 fold! To satisfy this need they needed to find capital. Lending is usually the option but repayment terms need to be funded from another source, >b To cover interest on the loan and your unit price goes skyrocketing!
On our planet at the last estimate in 2009 there was 6.7 Billion people on planet earth. Of that 6.7 billion there are still 52% without electricity! That means >b. The only feasible generation system is nuclear. Can you imagine how many nuclear reactors are needed to be built to satisfy in this need, in fact I don’t think there is enough capital in the world to build so many nuclear reactors! But assuming they can build a significant amount of nuclear generation plants can you imagine the impact on our planet of the nuclear waste?
No matter how educated you are, it does not take rocket science to conclude that we are in for a real bad price shock for electricity it’s only a matter of time!
A few years ago the thought of generating your own electricity was an absurdity now it’s not anymore! So having said this I invite you to visit my website and see that everything is not totally lost!
