Awesome posting. The advancements in solar panel technology is making it a real player in the energy market, but no one seems to want to talk about it. People are working on using printing presses to manufacture thin panels, and if they are successful (there's a good chance they will be), solar will be an economical and practical solution at the homeowner level. If you have a home, you have a roof and a place to put a thin solar panel. Every day it's sunny, the energy from the sun can be utilized.

Is solar the save-all to the energy problems we face? No, but it will be the best supplemental source of energy available at the homeowner level and take some of the strain off of America's current power grid.

Why the government isn't investing in this? I can't say for sure, but solar at the homeowner level will put power in the hands of the people (literally). Hmmmmmmm.......
