And The Leader in Water Filter Systems Is…

August 30th, 2010 |

A website for a company like Culligan (who makes water-conditioning equipment for home and commercial use) doesn’t need to be fancy, or to boast a lot of Flash animation, popups, music, live chat or other bells and whistles. The folks at Culligan seem to be aware of that; their main website is easy to navigate, clearly written and clearly laid out.

The home page takes you to:

  • “Your Home & Your Health,” with a couple of articles on municipal tap water and water purity. The articles are from more of an informative standpoint rather than sales-oriented. There’s also a short video called “Know Your Water,” which is also loaded with useful information
  • “Products” – which covers drinking water systems, water softeners, whole-house water filter systems, showerheads and pitchers and water coolers. The Products section also includes some glowing customer testimonials and a breakdown of different payment options.
  • “Service & Maintenance” – a straightforward listing of Culligan’s service policies, performance of their equipment and customer support
  • “Replace My Water Softener” – broken down for Culligan customers and non-Culligan customers
  • “The Culligan Advantage” – serves as a Culligan mission statement of sorts, listing all the various benefits of Culligan’s products for users.
  • “Newsroom” – a collection of Culligan press releases and the Culligan Blog, which offers some chatty, conversational tips on water efficiency, hydration (especially for kids) and Culligan’s portable exchange programs.

Also included in the site is employment information, company information, FAQ’s (very useful), an About Culligan page and information on products geared more toward commercial and industrial use.

Water quality is something that’s a growing concern for a lot of people. Minerals, pollutants, foreign substances and contaminants can not only give tap water a bad taste, it can be unhealthy, and it can corrode or clog pipes and make soaps or detergents less effective. Since the 1930s, Culligan is a name that has become synonymous with water treatment and water filtration for home use. Over the years, Culligan has developed a range of products that can give consumers flexibility and scale in their choices for water treatment. Their company website does a great job of representing the company and giving consumers the information they need to make an informed choice on water filtration products.
